Terms of Service

Welcome to Unfit for Print, a multiplayer party card game developed by PPO.GG. By accessing or using the game at https://unfit.cards or through the Discord Activity, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Definitions

  • “Service” refers to the Unfit for Print game, including the website at unfit.cards, the Discord Activity, and all related features.
  • “User,” “you,” “your” refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
  • “We,” “us,” “our” refers to PPO.GG, the developer and operator of the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Account and Access

  • You may play as an anonymous user without creating an account.
  • You may optionally log in via Discord OAuth2 to access additional features such as creating lobbies and persistent profiles.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users.

Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other players.
  • Submit content that is illegal, hateful, or that promotes violence or discrimination.
  • Attempt to exploit, hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service without prior written permission.
  • Impersonate other users, moderators, or PPO.GG staff.
  • Circumvent any content filtering, moderation, or security measures.

We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or restrict content and users who violate these rules.

User-Generated Content

  • Chat messages and custom card submissions are considered user-generated content.
  • Chat messages are ephemeral and deleted when the game lobby ends.
  • You retain ownership of content you create but grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display it within the Service during active game sessions.
  • We do not store, sell, or redistribute user-generated content beyond the active game session.

Intellectual Property

  • The Unfit for Print name, logo, and game design are the property of PPO.GG.
  • The card library includes three categories of content:
    • Original cards created by PPO.GG, which are the property of PPO.GG.
    • Cards Against Humanity content, used under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0 Generic (CC BY-NC-SA 2.0) license. Cards Against Humanity is a trademark of Cards Against Humanity, LLC. Unfit for Print is not affiliated with or endorsed by Cards Against Humanity, LLC.
    • User-submitted cards, which remain the property of the submitting user. By submitting cards, you grant PPO.GG a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to include them in the game.
  • The game and its content (including original and CAH-derived cards) are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license, which satisfies the ShareAlike obligation of the upstream CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 license.
  • The Service’s source code is available under the terms specified in the GitHub repository.
  • You may not use our trademarks, branding, or original game content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

Discord Activity

When using Unfit for Print as a Discord Activity:

Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party infrastructure including:

  • Appwrite (self-hosted) for authentication and data storage.
  • Cloudflare for hosting and content delivery.
  • Discord for OAuth2 authentication and Activity integration.

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PPO.GG and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PPO.GG, its contributors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Content Warning

Unfit for Print is a party game intended for mature audiences. Card content may include humor that is crude, irreverent, or offensive. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you may encounter such content and that PPO.GG is not responsible for user reactions to game content.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PPO.GG operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
